Welcome to Pink Plaid! We offer a suite of editorial, literary, and consulting services to creative and interpretive industries, including publishing, libraries, video games, museums, Hollywood, and academia.

Our Story in Brief
Pink Plaid was born in 2026 and represents the combined efforts, services, and skills of Sarah Hannah Gómez, PhD, and Jessica P. Pryde. Our flagship programs are CASE (Cultural Accuracy & Sensitivity Editorial Services) and developmental editing.
CASE
Hannah founded the CASE department at Kevin Anderson & Associates in 2021, developing robust processes and rigorous standards for professionalizing what has been known as sensitivity reading or targeted expert reading. In 2026, she separated from KAA, taking all her freelancers, clients, and content with her to Pink Plaid. The team is made up of more than 150 freelance editors from around the world, with areas of expertise ranging from race and ethnicity to disability to sex work. Developmental Editing
Hannah and Jess both have extensive experience in developmental editing, having worked with aspiring authors, indie authors, and traditional publishing.
Teaching, Public Speaking, and Facilitation
Jess and Hannah (with additional freelancers as appropriate) are available for keynotes, workshops, and other teaching or facilitation engagements. Their experience and areas of expertise are best suited for publishing companies, libraries, academia, and other creative or interpretive industries.
